Psychiatric Irony

Isn't ironical that people who are responsible for treating the insane, have never been institutionalised or suffered from psychosis even to a lesser extent? If you've never been crazy, how can you understand the crazy except imagining how it is like to be crazy based on theory and few practical cases.

Why do we always view insanity as a bad thing? Do we ever stop and think how the crazy and misunderstood feel? It so happens that the lunatics 8/10 are bright and extremely talented people and drugs take all that away. They make them stiff, rigid, almost worthless. Do they even consider how they feel emotionally.

I say let's treat the insane as super human beings and see how much good things they'll create, what do you say?
